HUDA to give Park maintenance to RWAs
Chandigarh, Jan 12 (UNI) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to give maintenance of neighbourhood parks, open spaces, green belts within the sector to the representatives of the Resident Welfare Accociation and House Owners Welfare Association of the sectors for better maintenance of these public places.
Stating this here today, HUDA Chief Administrator T C Gupta said that for this purpose HUDA would also pay remunerative of Rs 1 per square metre per month.
He said that all the sector Welfare Associations were requested to come forward and join hands togeather with HUDA for the maintenance of green belts, open spaces and parks.
Mr Gupta said that HUDA had also been continuously working towards developing green open spaces which act as lungs to the cities.
He said that HUDA was making all possible efforts to create and develop sufficient green spaces in the sectors to improve the environment for better living. He said a number of special gardens, neighbourhood parks, open spaces, green belts within the sectors had been developed and plantation of trees along sectors roads had also been taken up for achieving this objective.
The Chief Administrator also disclosed that the detailed terms and conditions regarding all information would also be available on HUDA website www.huda.nic.in.
