Mysore, Jan 12 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes today said the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) would soon set up medical and nursing colleges in the country.
Inaugurating the Third Karnataka ESIC Medical Officers Associations Conference here, he said the ESIC hospitals faced lack of qualified doctors and the planned medical colleges would produce the doctors needed for it.
Advocating for attractive salaries to doctors, he said he would take up the salary issue with the state governments concerned.
''The Centre has taken a serious note of migration of doctors to other countries,'' he said and added ''they will return, only if they are offered good salary.'' UNI BSP AJ RL RS1935
