Delegates from 30 nations to attend Partnership Summit

Chandigarh, Jan 12: About 1000 delegates from 30 countries are expected to participate in the Central government, Haryana Government and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit-2008 which will be held in Gurgaon from January 16 to 18.

The subject of the Summit, to be hosted by the Haryana Government, is ''Emerging Consensus : Inclusive and Sustainable Development''.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will launch a Industries Web-Portal of the State in the inaugural session of this Summit on January 16 and would project the industrial friendly atmosphere developed in Haryana.

The Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Departments of Industries, Commerce and IT P K Choudhary will present the growth of IT in the state and the avenues available to the industrialists under the new Industrial Policy.

Prime Minister of Hungary Ferenc Gyurcsany would participate in the Summit along with other dignitaries from 30 countries of the world.

About 1000 delegates from these countries were expected to participate in this Summit.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath, Minister for Railways Lalu Prasad Yadav, Union Minister of Science and Technology Kapil Sibbal would also be present in the inaugural session.
