Ranchi, Jan 12 (UNI) The CPI(ML) today described as a ''political stunt'' the Congress' ultimatum to the UPA-backed Madhu Koda Government of Jharkhand to ''perform or perish'' within two-months.
CPI(ML) state secretary Shubhendu Sen said the Congress was trying to exert pressure tactics on government for its personsal benefit.
'' If the Congress is not satisfied with the government, there is no question of giving any ultimatum and the party should immediately withdraw its support, '' Mr Sen said.
Mr Sen said setting a deadline meant the Congress was not in a mood to withdraw its support.
'' Under these circumstances mid-term polls should be conducted, '' he added.
