Surajkund, Jan 11 (UNI) West Bengal is the theme state for this year's fortnight-long Surajkund Crafts Mela to commence from February 1, Haryana Tourism Minister Kiran Choudhary said here today.
While talking to the Press, Ms Choudhary said the popular Mela will showcase large variety of unique and intricate handicrafts of West Bengal like Artistic Leather Craft, Brass&Bell Metal, Cane&Bamboo, Ceramic, Clay dolls, Dokra, Horn work, Jute products, masks&Puppets, Paper Mache, Sandalwood Carving, Artstic Weaving, Printing&Painting, Bluchari Saree and Daccai, Cotton Sarees and Jamdan, Needlework&Embroidery.
Vibrant performances by the folk dancers from all over India and the cultural programmes at Natyashala would enthrall the visitors, she said.
The Minister stated that the Surajkund Crafts Mela would provide an opportunity to all the visitors to have fun, frolic, entertainment, fantastic shopping extravaganza and taste of rare cuisine of various states.
