Bhopal, Jan 11 (UNI) In an attempt to create awareness among women and to come to the rescue of the women facing torture and atrocities, the Madhya Pradesh State Women Commission will get posters pasted at all 70,000 Aanganwadi centres in the state for the help of such women.
Besides carrying the information that an affected woman can directly approach the commission if her complaint is not heard by police or other competent authorities, the posters will also carry the names, addresses and phone and fax numbers of the office of Women's Commission, its chairperson and members.
As soon as the commission receives information of crime against a woman, the commission will swing into action to provide immediate relief to the affected person and necessary action against the accused.
A decision in this regard was taken at the first meeting of the newly-reconstituted Commission headed by Krishnakanta Tomar here yesterday.
Establishment of a stort stay home for women in all districts was also approved.
