Orchid pharma enters South African market
Chennai, Jan 11 (UNI) The city-based pharma major Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd today announced that its formulation facilities, comprising the Cephalosporin plant and Penicillin plant, have been approved by the Medicines Control Council (MCC), South Africa.
These facilities manufacture a range of Cephalosporin and Penicillin injections, a company release here said.
The approval once again validated the compliance standards of Orchid's facilities in line with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, it said.
This approval would pave the way for Orchid's entry into the South African market based on specific product filings and approvals, the release added.
