New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) Mercury in Delhi today dipped by nearly two degrees from yesterday but the cloud cover over the city still kept the temperature above normal.
Weather office here said the minimum temperature in Delhi stood at 11.5 degrees Celsius, about four degrees above normal.
It was yesterday recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius, about six degrees above normal.
The Met office said although the minimum temperature in the capital at this time of the season remains usually low, the absence of cold wave in the city is due to the cloud cover caused by western disturbance.
It also said that there was almost no fog this morning.
The weatherman predicted a mainly clear sky in the national capital with minimum temperature likely to dip further by two degrees and hover around 9 degrees Celsius.
