India to conclude talks with IAEA by mid-Jan

hopes

wrap
up
negotiations
with
the
IAEA
on
Nuclear
Safeguards
Agreement
by
mid-January
when
the
fourth
and
last
round
of
the
talks
would
be
held
in
Vienna,
Foreign
Secretary
Shivshankar
Menon
said
today.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to China tomorrow, she said three rounds of the negotiations had already been conducted. He hoped for a smooth and satisfactory conclusion of the talks. The third round was held early this month. Replying to a query on whether India would take up the matter of China's support to the Indo-US Nuclear deal at the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), the Foreign Secretary said ''we have not yet reached that stage.''
