Half a dozen houses damaged, 2 injured in fresh snowfall in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 11 (UNI) About half a dozen houses were damaged and two people were injured due to fresh snowfall across Kashmir official sources said.
Srinagar city and its adjoining areas experienced fresh snowfall early this morning, resulting in considerable cold.
Snow on tree and roof tops, roads, gardens and parks melted after sun came out from behind the dark clouds.
The upper reaches, particuarly in north Kashmir district of Kupwara and Baramulla also experienced fresh snowfall.
Sources said half a dozen houses were damaged due to heavy snowfall at Dardpora, Darda Herry and other villages in Kupwara during the past three days.
Two people were injured when roof of their house collapsed due to heavy snowfall at Dardpora, Lolab, in Kupwara. The injured were hospitalised.
