Ganga Expressway hearing on Jan 16
Allahabad, Jan 11 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today adjourned the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), seeking stay on the Ballia-Greater Noida Ganga Expressway project till the approval of the Water Resource Ministry of the Central government.
The order was passed by a division bench comprising Chief Justice H L Gokhle and Justice Vinit Saran on a PIL filed by Ashutosh Srivastava.
The petitioner had claimed that the project would affect the ecological balance.
Under the Ganga Expressway Project, Uttar Pradesh government aims to construct a eight-lane road from Ballia to Greater Noida.
