Bhopal, Jan 11 (UNI) A case has been registered in a local court against six people including Censor Board Chairman Sharmila Tagore and film director V G Samant for insulting Lord Hanuman in his film 'Hanuman Return' and hurting religious sentiments of Hindus.
Judicial Magistrate Pradeep Soni today admitted the petition and fixed January 18 as the next date for hearing.
Applicant Prakash Kumar alleged that the film portrayed Lord Hanuman in a wrong manner.
The complaint stated that the director, the producer, the script writer, the distributor and the company that publicised the film on the internet had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
According to the complaint, Ms Tagore had also hurt Hindus by granting permission to this film.
The complaint pointed out that the film showed Lord Hanuman talking in an indecent manner to Gabbar Singh besides making objectionable comments about various deities including Lord Indra.
