Tom Cruise turns real life hero

Washington, Jan 10 : Tom Cruise turned a real life hero for a day, when he rescued a woman stuck in snow after her car ran off the road.

It is so happened that the 'Vanilla Sky' star was driving his sports utility vehicle near his home in Telluride, Colorado with his wife Katie Holmes and his three children, when he came upon the lady.

Seeing the damsel, Cruise stopped his vehicle and, with the help of his minder, used its winch cable to pull the woman's car out of the snow.

An onlooker told In Touch Weekly that the cops were waiting with the woman for a tow truck and all of a sudden, a Hummer pulled up and it was Tom Cruise.

"The police were waiting with the woman for a tow truck and all of a sudden, a Hummer pulled up and it was Tom Cruise," the mag quoted the onlooker, as saying.
