Rural bank employees on two-day strike from today
Lucknow, Jan 10 (UNI) Work in over 3,000 Rural bank branches across Uttar Pradesh remained paralysed after the employees and workers of the bank went on a two-day strike from today for fulfilment of their demands.
Uttar Pradesh State Rural Bank Officers Federation general secretary Sugun Shukla said, ''Joint Forum Of Rural Bank Union has called the strike on non-fulfillment of their demands.'' The Rs 1,000 pension given to the Rural bank employees and workers after retirement was not reasonable, Mr Shukla said, adding it was a clear violation of SC order given in 2001, whereby, both Rural and Commercial banks were entitled for equal pension and other benefits.
