Kilo-class sub suffers some damage after hit from merchant vessel
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) A Sindhughosh (Kilo-class) submarine of the Western Fleet suffered some damage to its superstructure after a merchant vessel brushed past it off the coast of Saurashtra earlier this week.
The attack submarine suffered some damage to the fin on its 'bell' structure and possibly its periscope, when a merchant vessel MV Leeds 'scraped' past it on Monday afternoon, highly-placed naval sources said today.
