Robertsganj, Jan 10 (UNI) A member of the Naxalite 'child cadre' has been sentenced to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment by a local court.
According to prosecution, police had nailed down Manohar alias Sabhapati possessing a large quantity of explosives in Babhni area of the district 3 years back.
He was identified as an active 'Child Cadre' member of the notorious Maoist Communist Centre (MCG), Vijaygarh unit.
On the basis of circumstantial evidence and testimony, Additional District Judge awarded four-year RI to the accused under the Explosive Substance Act, besides slapping a penalty of Rs 5,000.
Besides, he was sentenced to three-year imprisonment and Rs 2,000 penalty under the Arms Act.
