Srinagar, Jan 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government tonight announced that each porter, killed in the snow storm and avalanche in north Kashmir will be paid an exgratia relief of Rs 50,000 and six months free ration.
This announcement was made by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad who expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in the snow storm in Uri sector yesterday.
He said the next of the kin of those porters killed, will be paid Rs 50,000 from Chief Ministers relief fund.
The family members will also get six months free ration, he added.
