Chennai, Jan 10: Over 35 International and Indian art historians and conservationists are expected to deliberate on mural paintings at an International seminar organised by Madras Craft Foundation here from January 23 to 27.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, Madras Craft Foundation president Deborah Thiagarajan said the seminar titled 'Paintings Narratives: Mural Painting in the 13th-19th Centuries' would focus primarly on the traditions of South and South East Asia and would concentrate on important conservation issues surrounding the paintings.
