HC notices to Haryana Govt, HUDA on allotment of plots
Chandigarh, Jan 10 (UNI) A Public Interest Litigation in the Punjab and Haryana High Court here has sought a CBI probe into the alleged illegal allotment of plots meant for the industrial workers at Panipat.
In the PIL which came up for preliminary consideration before the division bench of Chief Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia, the bench has issued notices to Haryana government and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) for March 13.
The plea has been filed by Panipat-based trade union leader P P Kapoor who has annexed details of the persons who were ineligible for such allotment as they were not industrial workers by any standard.
The PIL has also annexed affidavits of these ineligible persons for securing the plots.
Prayer has also been made to quash the allotment, action against HUDA officials who allegedly connived in this matter.
