Haryana amends Medical Rules for reimbursement
Chandigarh, Jan 10: The Haryana government has decided to liberalise the Punjab Medical Attendance Rules, 1940 for the medical reimbursement by amending the word 'family'.
An official spokesman said under the amended rules, those who were wholly dependent on a government female employee, including legitimate children, step children, legally adopted children and parents, widowed daughters and sisters, would also be part of the definition of 'family.' He said this decision would be applicable with immediate effect.
The intimation regarding the decision had already been sent to all Heads of the Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Sub Divisional Magistrates and Register of Punjab and Haryana High Court, he added.
