Hyderabad, Jan 10: F-Secure Corporation today announced its cooperation with Sify Consumer Broadband to provide data security to the company's subscribers. A release here said with this partnership, F-Secure security services were now available to about 50 per cent of India's broadband customers through four of the leading Internet Service Providers in the country.
Sify would offer its over 2,00,000 subscribers F-Secure's entire suite of award-winning security solutions that include proactive protection through F-Secure's unique 'Deep Guard' technology, parental control as well as protection against all data security threats. All these solutions would be provided as an integrated, easy-to-use and automatically updated package.
According to F-Secure Vice President (APAC) Jari Heinonen ''the company has been developing its presence in the Indian market very systematically and this cooperation with Sify is critical for us.
Our aim is to provide an easy and user-friendly experience for the subscribers without the hassle of keeping the security solution up to date and also educate the market regarding the best practices for protecting data and devices when using the internet,'' he said.
F-Secure's security service would be integrated into Sify's monthly Internet subscription. All the security solutions offered by F-Secure would be made available to Sify broadband customers by subscribing to the Sify Consumer Broadband service as an annual subscription.
F-Secure would also train Sify's sales team to help them create awareness about data security among current and potential broadband users. The service would be offered to the customers via Sify's online portal, the release added.
