Chennai, Jan 10 (UNI) Kerala-based Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) will launch seven mobile ATMs in South India by June 2008.
Talking to newspersons here today, CSB Chairman and CEO R Venkataraman said "we will be launching the country's first mobile ATM at Trissur in Kerala by February 2008".
"We the first bank to get the licence to open mobile ATMs", he claimed, adding, "the rest six mobile ATMs will be opened at Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Cochin by June 2008".
Mr Venkataraman said "currently, we are discussing with the respective state governments regarding security issues and other aspects".
All the mobile ATM would also be connected to the core banking solutions, he said.
