Close by 0100 hrs or face action: Delhi Police warns restaurants
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) The Delhi Police would soon launch a special drive to check any violation of the timings notified for closing down eating houses and restaurants in the national capital.
All restaurants and eating joints had been asked to close down by 0100 hrs, starting from the New Year day.
The new timings were notified by the Licensing Branch of the Delhi Police recently. Earlier, the restaurants and food joints used to wind up the day's business by midnight.
The police said staying open beyond the notified time amounted to violation of the Delhi Eating House Registration Regulation, 1980.
The police said they would soon launch a special drive to check the violating restaurants.
Those found flouting the timings would be prosecuted, they said, adding their licences were also liable to be cancelled.
