Visakhapatnam, Jan 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President, Bandaru Dattatreya today said that the changing political scenario in Andhra Pradesh is indicating an early election, ahead of the scheduled polls in 2009.

Addressing a press conference here, he said, a detailed discussion would be conducted with the party office bearers and workers to mobilize and motivate them well in advance.

Mr Dattatreya, who came here to discuss and guide the party cadres in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam on the future strategies to be adopted, said it was a false notion of AICC General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh State in-charge, Veerappa Moily, that the opposition parties had become weak. It would be a big blunder to undermine any party or leader, he added.

Commenting on the announcement for the constitution of a second States Reorganisations Commission (SRC), Mr Dattatreya said the Congress party was not committed to the formation of a separate Telangana State. It was a tactic adopted by the party, he alleged.

He assured that if BJP would come to power, within three months it would form a separate Telangana State.

The sentiment of the people was strong and almost all the opposition parties and panchayat level leaders from the ruling Congress party were in favour of a separate State, he claimed.

The BJP was also carrying out a signature campaign to this extent to garner strength and support for the same. 'Telangana Kranti Santhakala Sankranti', an emergency meeting to decide on Telangana, would be conducted in Hyderabad on January 13, he informed.

He alleged that the State Government and the Centre were adopting anti-farmer policies and inflicting great harm to the farmers by acquiring agricultural lands for constructing SEZs.

Stating that even as the Centre had issued an order restricting acquisition of productive agricultural lands for SEZs, he pointed out that 800 acres of cultivable land was acquired by the State Government for the Aluminum plant coming up in Vizianagaram district.
