Advantage Andhra against TN

Bangalore, Jan 10 (UNI) Reducing their rivals to 77 for 4 in their second innings, Andhra put themselves in a strong position against Tamil Nadu on the penultimate day of the three-day Under-13 KSCA inter-state south zone cricket here today.

Earlier, Sai Dinesh (108) helped Andhra gain 117-run lead by making 294 in their first innings in reply to Tamil Nadu's first innings score of 177. Nareen Reddy claimed three for 16 runs to put Tamil Nadu in a tight spot.

Kerala fought back gamely against Karnataka by making 293 for six in reply to host's imposing first innings total of 507 for 4 declared.

Sanju V Samson led the Kerala fight back by hitting a superb 132 in just 124 balls with the aid of 11 boundaries and a huge six.

Goa gained a 94-run first innings lead against Hyderabad. After making 303 in their first innings, Goa restricted Hyderabad to 207.

Vikas Shetty was the most successful bowler for Goa claiming five wickets for 49.

In their second knock, Goa made 42 for two at stumps.
