TN: Two killed in car-van collision

Perambalur, Jan 09: Two persons were killed on the spot when a car in which they were travelling collided head on with a van at Thanneerpanthal village near here today.

Police said the car was proceeding to Madurai from Chennai, while the van carrying Ayyappa devotees was on its way to Andhra Pradesh, when the mishap occurred.

The bodies, identified as car driver Thriganasamantham and Venkatesan, were sent to the Government headquarters hospital here for post-mortem, police added.
