Two children killed in Viajapur taluka
Palanpur, Gujarat, Jan 9 (UNI) Two children belonging to Vanzara community were killed and as many as 40 sheeps and goats were looted by miscreants in the outskirt of Ubhkhal village, 45 kms away from Viajapur taluka of Mehsana district.
According to police, Kinas (12) and his sister Ganga (10) were allegedly killed by Karim Sattar, when they were on their way to graze the sheeps and goats at the outskirt of Ubhkhal village.
Karim Sattar was in the village in connection with the buying of the sheep and goats, the police added.
Police informed that the bodies of the duo were recovered by the villagers in the morning.
When the children did not returned home till late last night, worried parents lodged a complaint with the Vasai police station.
District Superintendent of police Raju Bhargava said that on a tip off, police found a tow of the sheep moving in a tempo. They later seized the tempo and animals near Nanadasan some 15 km from Mehsana. However, the alleged killer is still at large, police said.
