New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni today asked the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to take lessons from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which is expanding its network rapidly.
''The AAI should follow the footsteps of DMRC to achieve success in its operations,'' Ms Soni said at a function here to celebrate the 'Golden Decade' of Air Hostess Academy (AHA).
Speaking on the occasion, BCCI Vice President and senior Congress leader Rajiv Shukla said there should be 10 airports around Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and other metropolitan cities.
He stressed the need for developing infrastructure to make India a favourite destination of tourists worldwide.
About AHA, he said, the academy was playing a very important role in providing huge manpower to an immensely growing tourism sector in the country.
Talking about lessons, Ms Soni called for training of politicians on the pattern of professionals.
