Sun Network hikes rates

Network,
one
of
the
leading
television
channel
networks
in
the
country
with
all
four
languages
of
South
has
increased
its
ad
rates.
Having the major share in the channel market with high viewership and consistent higher ratings, the company decided to hike the rates of ads with effect from 1 February. The channel administration hiked the rates by 10 percent to 21 per cent for Tamil, 15 per cent for Telugu, 10 to 20 percent for Kannada and 3 to 13 percent for Malayalam Channels. This hike is only for the main channels like Sun, Gemini, Udaya and Surya.
For other channels like Sun Music, Sun News, Gemini Music, Gemini News, Teja, Udaya Movies, Udaya Varthagalu, Udaya II and Kiran the increase ranges from 10 per cent to 25 per cent according to the programmes. Simultaneously, the slot fees (broadcast fees) received from content producers has also increased proportionately, effective from 15 February.
