President to participate in BMC Valedictory

Bangalore, Jan 9 (UNI) President Prathibha Patil will participate in the Valedictory of the Bangalore Mediation Centre (BMC) to be held here on February 1, Karnataka Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph said today.

Speaking after a live-demonstration at the Centre here, he said Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan would inaugurate the BMC anniversary on January 19.

He said to mark the anniversary, it was proposed to hold South India Mediation Conference in which representatives of Mediation Centres from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, besides Karnataka, would participate.

Justice Cyriac said it was also proposed to hold Mediation week in Karnataka to create awareness among the public about the importance of the mediation in solving the disputes pending before the Court for a long time.
