Mercury in Delhi rises to 11 degrees Celsius
New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) In what can be seen as a considerable abatement in cold wave conditions sweeping Delhi over the last week, the mercury in the capital today rose to 11 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal.
Clouds hovering over the skyline today led to a rise in minimum temperature to 11 degrees Celsius, from yesterday's 9.6 degrees Celsius.
After Monday's fog, visibility levels this morning remained normal at 800m.
Weathermen attribute the abatement of cold wave conditions in the city to the clouds in the skyline as well as reversal of wind flow.
The abatement in cold could persist for another day or two with the weathermen forecasting a minimum temperature of 11 degrees C tomorrow as well.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the possibility of light rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
