Uttar Pradesh: Girl killed in firing

Pratapgarh, Jan 9: A minor was killed after receiving bullet shots at a temple premises in Baghrag area here.

According to sources, Hajari Prasad Mishra -- pradhan of Jagtamau village -- had come to the temple, where they fired few gun-shots in the air.

Sadhna (10), who was paying obeisance to God, got injured and later succumbed.

In a separate incident, one Rajesh was found in a wounded state at Phalanpur area early yesterday.

Rajesh told police that he had rented his van to three men in Jaunpur, who later stabbed him and flew the coop with the vehicle.

He has been admitted to hospital.
