'Extract assurance from Malaysia: BJP
New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) The BJP today asked the Centre to obtain an assurance from the Malaysian Government that it would not discriminate against Indians, after its flip flop on banning them from working in that country.
BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the plight of people of Indian origin in Malaysia and their constitutional and religious rights were all too well known. A Malaysian Minister was attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Conference in Delhi and it would only be appropriate to extract an assurance from his country that all Indian workers would not be discriminated against, he added.
