Srinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir authorities today exhumed body of a girl Aaliya, who was murdered after she named some persons, including a woman, Sahiba alias Gypsy, allegedly involved in sexually exploiting innocent Kashmiri girls.
The body was exhumed today at Soura by a team of experts, including doctors, in the presence of police.
The experts took some samples from the remains of the girl's body for tests, official sources said adding the result of the samples would be available after 20 days.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar, on December 31 remanded Sahiba on ten days police remand on a petition filed by Forum Against Social Evils (FASE), alleging that she killed Aaliya, a resident of Soura, after forcing her in flesh trade.
The CJM also allowed the petitioner to approach duty magistrate after expiry of the police remand.
In the petition, FASE had alleged that Aaliya was killed on the direction of these persons.
The prosecution had informed the court that Sahiba and her co-accused Saif-ud-Din Wani, were arrested and it was looking into the process of exhuming the body of Aaliya to ascertain the reason of her death.
The prosecution had claimed that she had revealed to the FASE members how Sahiba mentally and physically exploited her while keeping her in illegal confinement for 25 days.
He said the victim had in fact expressed apprehensions about her safety before she was finally murdered.
