Jaipur, Jan 9 (UNI) Local player Amanjyot Singh signed the solitary under-par card to take the lead at the end of the second round of the LG Rambagh Club Golf here today.
He shot a 1-under par 69 to be 1-under par 139 for the tournament.
Saurabh Bahuguna who shot a one-over par today was second at 140 while Rahul Bajaj was third at 142. Moin Malak, Simarjeet Singh and Tarun Gogale were all tied for fourth place at 143. Wasim Khan and Karan Vasudeva shared the seventh spot at 144 while Adutya Singh and Vikram Rana at 145.
Amanjyot cruised making pars all the way until the 15th hole. The last three holes of his round proved eventful as he scored two successive birdies.
However he was unlucky on his finishing hole. After he hit his drive on the left, he got stuck in the soft part of the ground and could not hit his approach shot to the optimum and paid the penalty as he finished with a bogey.
Meanwhile, Saurabh began with a flourish making a birdie on 10th and played a steady game to save pars on the next eight holes of his front nine to be 1-under at the turn.
On the back nine, a bogey on the fourth put him at level par.
He quickly made amends on the very next hole making a birdie. With a double bogey on the seventh, he was two-over for the round until the final hole where he made a birdie to be just one-over.
