Rajkot, Jan 8 (UNI) US Consul General Michael Owen today inaugurated a three-week-long medical camp at Bidada village in Kutch district, organised by Shree Bidada Sarvodaya Trust.
The yearly camp treats more than 30,000 patients free of charge, an official release said.
Atleast, 50 doctors and 85 other volunteers from United States, mainly born in Gujarat have come to the camp for voluntary service.
''The dedication and spirit of the volunteers is amazing,'' said the impressed Consel General, as he was in 2005 when he first observed its observations in 2005.
Shree Bidada Sarvodaya Trust is a non-profit organization committed to providing medical and surgical treatment to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
