Singhal concerned over Baba Govind Sadan controversy
New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) Expressing concern over the ''unnecessary furore'' being raised over the succession issue in Baba Govind Sadan after the demise of its founder Baba Sirsa Singh, VHP president Ashok Singhal today said only the committee named in the Sikh saint's will had the mandate to govern the mission.
''Baba Sirsa Singh had never named any person as his successor and in fact drawn up an eleven-member committee in his will to ensure that there was no obstruction in the continuation of the good works being conducted by the mission founded by him,'' he said in a statement here.
The committee constituted by the late Baba should be given the charge of the sadan as per his wishes, Mr Singhal added.
Baba Sirsa Singh passed away on December 24.
