JCT to take on East Bengal in Ludhiana on Jan 14

Ludhiana, Jan 8 (UNI) Punjab's premier soccer outfit JCT Phagwara, after playing Mahindra United in Mumbai on January 10, will meet Kingfisher East Bengal in their 11th round match in the ONGC I-League at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on January 14.

JCT will also be playing against Viva Kerala on January 19, Air India on February 2, M Mohun Bagan on February 16 and Salgaocar Sports Club of Goa on Feb 23 at the same venue.

JCT's other fixtures are--against Churchill Brothers (Jan 26 at Goa), Dempo SC (Jan 31 at Goa) and Sporting Clube Goa (Feb 4).

At the conclusion of ninth round, Dempo Sports Club were leading the table with 21 points, with six wins and three draws. They have a goal difference of plus 15 (19 for and four against).

JCT are occupying the second slot with 19 points, with five triumphs and four draw. Their goal difference is plus 10 (17 for and 7 against).

Two points behind JCT are Churchill Brothers of Goa (5 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats). M Mohun Bagan and Mahindra United have so far accumulated 14 and 11 points, respectively.
