HUDA auction of Freehold Site for 5 Star Hotel on Jan 16

Panchkula, Jan 8 (UNI) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has announced that the 8 acre freehold site earmarked for the region's first 5 Star Deluxe Hotel to come up at City Center here will be auctioned on January 16.

In the auction, which would take place at the Inderdhanush Auditorium here, the reserve price for the site has been put at Rs 260 Crore said Mr TC Gupta, Chief Administrator, HUDA, With major projects like separate IT Parks, FilmCity, EduCity and HealthCity coming up in the tri-city, the demand for luxury hotel rooms was sure to increase, Mr Gupta said.

Moreover, Panchkula has been acting as a gateway not only to the industrial townships like Baddi, but also to the major tourist flows to north Indian attractions like Shimla, Kasauli, Kullu, Manali and Jammu, he said.

With the region set to witness phenomenal business growth and international events like ICL T20 Tournament coming to Panchkula the demand for infrastructure and facilities in the region, especially in the hospitality sector, is bound to go up, he said.

The hotel site is strategically located in the City Center along 60 meters wide road and adjacent to sites for Multi-level Parking and two Shopping Malls.

This is the biggest site of its category in the Tri-City. The permissible ground area is 30 per cent of the plot area, FAR is 175 per cent, the permissible height is 75 meters, commercial area is permitted upto 10 per cent of permissible FAR or 20 shops, whichever is less, and a three-tier basement free of FAR is also permitted at the site, the HUDA chief said.
