Karnal, Jan 7 (UNI) The Indian National Lok Dal today alleged that the power crisis in Haryana was due to the mismanagement on the part of the government.

Interacting with newspersons in a 'Meet the Press' programme organised by the Karnal Press Club, INLD spokesman Ram Pal Majra said it was all the more regrettable that such a power crisis was being experienced at a time when there was not much demand for electricity.

''The power situation is so bad in Haryana that it seems like a war time when people experience frequent 'Blackouts','' he alleged.

He accused the government of being insensitive to the problems of the people and charged the Congress leaders with indulging in the business of property dealing.

In an oblique reference to Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal and Karnal MP Arvind Sharma, he said the Congress MPs were fighting over property issues and in the race to grab land.

He said former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal and his sons were merely interested in promoting their own kith and kin.

Mr Majra said making a claim on the Mohali International airport by Haryana was a foolhardy step as it would help Punjab only. Haryana would release a big amount from its exchequer for the completion of the airport without getting anything in return, he alleged.

In any case, Haryana could have used the airport without becoming a stakeholder in the project, he emphasised.
