Pak wrestlers to take part in 'friendship cup'

Jammu, Jan 6 (UNI) Over a dozen wrestlers from Pakistan will be taking part in a day-long wrestling event to be held on January 19 at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi town Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

Sources said, a day-long competition titled as 'friendship cup' will be held in which, ten wrestlers from Pakistan will vie for honours against top Indian wrestlers in around 25 bouts.

''The wrestlers have already reached India as they are on a one-month tour and on January 18, they will be visiting here for the competition, Jammu and Kashmir wrestling association General secretary Dushyant Sharma told UNI.

However, he said the event is being organized under peace process and to develop a healthy relations between both the countries.
