'No minor should miss out on 'do boond zindagi ki''
Lucknow, Jan 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh medical and health minister Anant Kumar Mishra here today stressed the importance of polio drops and India's dream to become a 'polio-ridden country.' ''No child below five years of age should be left without ''do boond zindagi ki''...it is only then that the country could fulfil its dream,'' Mr Mishra underlined, while administering drops to the minors at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (civil) hospital.
The minister, while starting the pulse polio pogramme said ''every child should be taken to the polio booth and given the drops under every phase.'' He added that the children living in slums should not be missed out.
Several lakh children were administered provided the polio drops today under the pulse-polio pogramme across the state.
Mr Mishra distributed chocolates, biscuits and other eateries to the children, besides directing the officers to provide the drops door-to-door between January 7 and 11.
