Hooda launches utility projects iof Rs 49 crore

Rohtak, Jan 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda today launched three public utility projects in Rohtak involving an investment of around Rs 49 crore to meet the increasing demand of the people of town and neighbouring villages.

The Chief Minister first laid the foundation of a joint bridge over the Jawahar lal Nehru canal (JLN) and Bhallot Sub Branch (BSB) of West Jamuna Canal on the outskirts of the town to facilitate the smooth flow of vehicular traffic traff on National Highway No-10.

The 3-lane overbridge will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 4.61 crore within a period of nine months.

He performed the stone laying ceremony of a Railway Overbridge over Delhi-Bhatinda railway line near the MDU campus in the town.The 45-meter wide bridge , to be constructed at a cost of Rs 34.51 crore, will help in diverting the heavy vehicles plying on National Highway No 71A without entering in the town.

He also laid the foundation stone of a Rs 10-crore 132 KV power sub station at IDC Extension on Hisar road to streamline and improve the electricity supplies in more than half a dozen residential localities of the town as well as Samar Gopalpur and Nidana villages.

While blessing the new recruits of Army jawans at the Recruiting Office here, the Chief Minister recalled that the Sainiks from Haryana had made supreme sacrifices to safeguard the unity and integrity of the nation.

During his hectic programme in the town today, the Chief Minister met party workers who had assembled in large numbers in DLF colony park with banners and placards to greet him.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated newly constructed Jat Bhawan here.The 2-storeyed bhawan has been constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh in area of 3300 square meter with the financial assistance from the government and voluntary donations by the people.
