Burglars decamp with jewels worth Rs 13 lakh

Chennai, Jan 6 (UNI) Burglars struck at a locked house at Anna Salai here today and decamped with 150 sovereign of jewels and Rs one lakh in cash.

Police said the family after returning from a marriage this morning, found their house burgled.

The cash and Rs 13 lakh worth jewellery were kept inside an almirah in the first floor.

Sniffer dogs and finger print experts were pressed into service, police added.
