Ruling alliance insulted political values: Omar
Jammu, Jan 5 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Omar Abdullah today accused the ruling coalition alliance of insulting the political values and standards saying that some political parties were having a habit of exciting desires and expectations of common masses by deceitful promises which was taking its tool in the state.
Addressing a public meeting at bordering tehsil Bishnah, some 40 Km from here, the National Conference president alleged that both Congress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lacked ideology and were now racking up issues only to hoodwink the aspirations of people to meet their political ends.
''We have seen nothing but slogans rising and hollow promises,'' Mr Omar said adding the ruling parties were just exciting desires of the people without delivering anything at the ground level.
''We have seen what the coalition partners can do to remain in power'', Mr Omar said adding the manner in which the coalition partners made allegations against each other to quench their thirst for power had created a state of anarchy.
However, he also claimed that National Conference was the only party in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, which was acceptable to all the three regions of the state.
