Vaishnavites take out rally against 'Kyonki...'
Junagadh, Jan 4 (UNI) Members of Vaishnav sect in Saurashtra took out a rally in Keshod town, near here, to protest against some objectionable utterances regarding 'Thakorjee', the presiding deity of Vaishnav sect, in producer Ekta Kapoor's popular TV serial 'Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
In a recent episode of the serial, daughter-in-law of the Virani family, Trupti, delivered a derogatory dialogue against the deity, sparking a wave of protest by the community across the country.
According to leaders of the sect, the members of International Pushti Marg Vaishnav Parishad held demonstrations in Mumbai and demanded an apology from Ekta Kapoor for hurting feelings of Vaishnavites. A Vaishnavite organisation in Indore is planning to sue her.
