Ranchi, Jan 4: Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda has said separate Staff Selection Commissions (SSC) will be formed for the appointment of about 30,000 youths in the state.

Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Koda said the commission would be formed by March this year and the state personnel secretary had been directed to do the needful in this regard.

Addressing a press conference on December 31, Mr Koda said providing employement to about 30,000 unemployed youths in the state was among his priorities.

Speaking about the Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Development Mission (JLNUDM), the Chief Minister said two cities - Jamshedpur and Dhanbad - would be developed as millenium cities.

An MoU for developing Dhanbad as millenium city, under the Bharat Nirman Yojna, had been inked between the state government and the Centre on December 20, Mr Koda said, adding that the MoU for Steel City Jamshedpur would be signed on January nine.

After the signing of the MoUs, detailed project report and other formalities would also be completed for the development of both the cities, he added.

Refering to issues of contractual employees' death in various naxal strikes, Mr Koda said besides government employees, compensation and jobs to the families of those employees would also be provided by the state government.
