SP leaders, including 2 legislators, booked

Sultanpur, Jan 4 (UNI) Police today registered a case against nine Samajwadi Party leaders, including two legislators, for allegedly obstructing government work and misbehaving with the block development officer.

Sources said the case was registered at Kotwali dehat here against MLC Shailendra Pratap Singh, local MLA from Sadar Assembly constituency Anup Sanda, Block Pramukh Om Prakash and Deputy Block Pramukh Prabhakar Pathak.

Besides, five Gram Pradhans, including Gram Pradhan union president Lallan Singh have also been booked.

They have been charged with misbehaving with BDO Vijay Kumar Srivastava.

The SP leaders had been sitting on a dharna since Wednesday demanding removal of the BDO.

They had claimed that BDO was not cooperating in the development works at the Dubeypur block of the district.

Investigations were on.
