Jabalpur, Jan 4 (UNI) Prosecution officers in Madhya Pradesh were on indefinite strike from January 1 to press their seven-point charter of demands affecting work in all district and subordinate courts.
The prosecution officers are scheduled to take out a rally in the state capital today as part of the agitation, Madhya Pradesh Prosecution Officers Association's local unit Joint Secretary Sandeep Pande said today.
The main demand pertains to removal of anomaly in their pay scale. According to Mr Pande, the pay-scale of other gazetted officers was Rs 8000-Rs 13,500, while the present pay scale of prosecution officers, who were also of gazetted rank, was Rs 5000-Rs 9000.
