IAF on high alert to thwart terror strikes
Allahabad, Jan 4 (UNI) Air Marshal P P Rajkumar today said the Indian Air Force (IAF) was in a state of high alert in the backdrop of the recent terrorist attack on a CRPF camp in Rampur.
Addressing a news conference here, Mr Rajkumar said the IAF was the fourth largest Air Force in the world and it was expected to augment its strength by acquiring 126 new aircraft.
He further added that the armed forces were taking a serious note of the lack of enthusiasm among youngsters for joining the forces and claimed they were trying to devise ways and means for correcting this trend.
